Recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency, the regional effort to improve air quality recently received national attention
In May 2009, Air North Texas received a Clean Air Excellence Award from the EPA. Established in 2000, the annual awards honor innovative efforts to improve air quality.
Encouraging North Texans to make clean air choices, the innovative and collaborative efforts of Air North Texas partners attracted the EPA's attention.
During the last several years, Air North Texas and other programs have significantly improved air quality in the region.
